Ferenc Erős z”l (1946-2020)
Dr. Ferenc Erős (1946-2020) psychologist, social-psychologist. After the late 1970s with Andras Stark psychiatrist, they started to look for the meaning to be a Jew and second generation Holocaust survivor in Hungary. Significant research results about the power structures and social minorities are associated with his name. Similarly to Teréz Virág his interest was centered around the social trauma, the trauma of the Holocaust, the memory, identity and transgenerational processes. He was the founder of the doctoral program of Theoretical Psychoanalysis of the Psychological Institute of the Pécs University. He organized workshops and presented at conferences, among others at those of the KÚT Foundation.
Z”l (zikhrono livrakha / זכרונו לברכה) means ‘of blessed memory’.
